Why buy a tiny house?

A Tiny House is considered to be between 100 and 400 square feet, compared to an average American home of around 2,600 square feet. Tiny houses are transportable, eco-friendly, provide greater financial freedom and potentially a self-sufficient way of life.

Tiny houses or having a Tiny House has become a social movement, in which people are choosing to simplify their lives, declutter their lives and downsize their homes. The small amount of space in a Tiny house means the owners have to give up any idea of having a materialistic lifestyle. The Tiny House Movement is about downsizing and simplifying your life with less room for unnecessary items.

Tiny Houses are meant to use space efficiently, enabling a simpler way of life in a smaller space. Tiny Houses cost less in terms of maintenance, upkeep and repairs, heating and taxes. They offer an affordable way to own a home without a huge mortgage.

They are seen to be ‘ecologically friendly’ as they are smaller and therefore consume less energy. Most are also fitted with solar panels which reduces the amount of public energy it requires.
